This maps show annual means of the SDG 6.3.2 core parameters total phosphorus, total nitrogen, pH and dissolved oxygen in rivers, lakes and reservoirs or aggregated for a particular country or catchment. All data is derived from the GEMStat database and the classification and thresholds are provided by UN Environment (2017) and UN Water (2016). Please note: (i) As the classification currently covers only lakes, reservoirs, rivers and streams, GEMStat data on wetlands and groundwater stations are presently not included into the map. In the future, more and more parameters and stations will be added. (ii) With respect to total phosphorus and total nitrogen different threshold values are defined for flowing (river stations) and standing water bodies (lakes, reservoirs). Due to the fact that GEMStat currently includes mostly river stations, the aggregation to catchment and country level was based on river threshold values.
